Wivenhoe Dam - hold's two and a half times more water than Sydney Harbour, it has a huge population of indigenous fish (Gar, Lungfish, two species of Catfish) as well as introduced Bass, Golden perch, Silver perch, Cod and Saratoga. Boating is restricted to non-motorised watercraft powered by electric motors. Sailing is popular, too, as is canoeing. Camping facilities are at two established areas, Captain Logan Inlet (unpowered) and Lumley Hill (powered).

Woodford Folk Festival -Held annually from Dec 27th to Jan 1st attracting 85,000 people with seven hundred acts. Including film dance, street theatre and workshops, Woodford hosts one of Australia's largest music and lifestyle festivals.
